More than a simple website

One Organisation. Several Different Journeys.

Academy of Expressive Arts needed more than a simple brochure website. Classes, productions, talent representation, parties, camps and practical information all needed a clear place within the same digital platform.

Ryan planned and built a substantial multi-page website for Principal Shanna Logan and the wider organisation, structured around the different reasons people actually visit.

  • CLASSES

Musical Theatre, Youth Theatre and 1-to-1 tuition, with a clear route for people looking to join.

  • AEA PRODUCTIONS

A dedicated home for the organisation's productions, past and present.

  • AEA MANAGEMENT

A distinct area for the talent representation side of the organisation.

  • CAMPS, PARTIES & PARENTS

Holiday camps, AEA Parties, parental information and FAQs, giving practical information its own clear route.

Structure matters

Different Visitors. Different Jobs.

Someone looking for a children's class has a completely different objective from someone exploring AEA Management or a current production. The website needed a structure that allowed each part of the organisation to have its own clear journey without making the overall experience confusing.

Clear navigation, logical page hierarchy, visual consistency and mobile usability hold those different journeys together.

Still serving the business

Built To Keep Serving The Organisation.

Roughly two years after launch, the website remains live and in active use across the organisation's classes, productions, management and wider activity.

It was built as a substantial digital platform rather than around a short-term campaign, giving AEA a website that could continue supporting the different parts of the organisation after launch.

Building Something With Several Services, Audiences or Moving Parts?

When a website has to serve several audiences, the structure matters as much as the design. Each visitor should be able to understand where they belong and what to do next.
